چکیده

In this paper, some time-frequency analysis methods were studied to get the detailed characteristics of two-way automatic communication system (TWACS) outbound signal sampled from industry power network with high disturbance, . Compared with traditional time-domain detecting algorithm, time-frequency analysis methods, including short-time Fourier transform (STFT)), Wigner distribution (WD) and complex wavelet transform (CWT), could extract the characteristics from time-domain and frequency-domain of the signal analyzed, which significantly improves the detecting accuracy of modulated signal with strong noise. Principle and algorithm of each time-frequency analysis method were stated. Then these methods were employed to analyze the outbound signal of TWACS sampled from industry power network. Simulation results and theoretical analysis demonstrated that complex wavelet seemed the best time-frequency analysis method of detecting the outbound signal of TWACS with the advantages of high accuracy and low calculated quantity.

Automatic Meter Reading using Power Line Signaling and Voltage Zero-crossing Detection

In India, the electric power transmission and distribution loss is very high, about 7% in transmission and 26% in distribution. Though deployment of automated meter reading system will reduce losses, particularly in distribution, penetration of automated meter reading is low due to high costs involved. World over, the Two-Way Automatic Communications System (TWACS) is the most widely used power...

Dynamic Performance Analysis of High-Frequency Signal Injection Based Sensorless Methods for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors

This paper focuses on three commonly used sensorless methods based on high-frequency signal injection; namely, the rotating sinusoidal injection in the stationary reference frame, the pulsating sinusoidal injection in the estimated synchronous reference frame, and the pulsating square wave injection in the estimated synchronous reference frame. Although these methods have found applications in ...

Real-time damage detection of bridges using adaptive time-frequency analysis and ANN

Although traditional signal-based structural health monitoring algorithms have been successfully employed for small structures, their application for large and complex bridges has been challenging due to non-stationary signal characteristics with a high level of noise. In this paper, a promising damage detection algorithm is proposed by incorporation of adaptive signal processing and Artificial...

Pathologies cardiac discrimination using the Fast Fourir Transform (FFT) The short time Fourier transforms (STFT) and the Wigner distribution (WD)

This paper is concerned with a synthesis study of the fast Fourier transform (FFT), the short time Fourier transform (STFT and the Wigner distribution (WD) in analysing the phonocardiogram signal (PCG) or heart cardiac sounds.     The FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) can provide a basic understanding of the frequency contents of the heart sounds. The STFT is obtained by calculating the Fourier tran...
